Echo in the Wind is a rare example of me using a white canvas with pencils. It was inspired by the death of my friend Rachel who was left at the altar and took her own life. Echo in the Wind was rather badly replicated in acrylics in 2004 as the awful piece Blue, and then painted properly in 2009 as Echo.
